Workshop on Oral History

The ASK Project Team is happy to announce that the Institute of Ancient History and Ancient Near Eastern Studies of the  University of Innsbruck will host, with the support of the Austrian Embassy in Amman and the International Relation Office of the University of Innsbruck, a workshop on Oral History.

His Excellence the Austrian Ambassador Dr. Michael Desser visiting the Project House in Koya (Iraqi Kurdistan) in April 2017.

Interviews with the people of Koya have proven to be an indispensable part of our fieldwork. A small group of archaeologists, historians, anthropologists, and documentary filmmakers will gather in Innsbruck to discuss the prospects of constructing a multi-medial archive of oral sources related to recent developments of the cultural landscape of the region of Koya/Koi Sanjaq.
